Why Is Industrial Lighting Important?
Proper lighting in industrial facilities is critical in terms of occupational safety, production efficiency, and energy costs. Insufficient lighting increases workplace accidents, while excessive lighting causes unnecessary energy consumption.
Lux Values by Industrial Area Type
| Area Type | Minimum Lux | Recommended Lux |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse / Between Racks | 100 lux | 150 lux |
| Assembly Line | 300 lux | 500 lux |
| Quality Control | 500 lux | 750 lux |
| CNC / Precision Machining | 750 lux | 1000 lux |
| Loading Dock | 150 lux | 200 lux |
| Office Areas | 300 lux | 500 lux |

How to Choose the Right Industrial Fixture?
- Measure the ceiling height: 4-6m is medium ceiling, 6m+ is high ceiling
- Determine the IP protection class: IP44-IP66 depending on dust and moisture conditions
- Calculate the required lux: Professional calculation with Dialux
- Choose the beam angle: Narrow area = 60°, wide area = 120°
- Determine the color temperature: Production 5000K, warehouse 4000K
